NOTICE OF PUBLIC BRIEFING SESSION ON THE DRAINAGE AND PAVING

PROJECT ON CONCOURSE WEST.

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Board of Trustees of the Village of Brightwaters will convene a special meeting on February 12, 2018 at 7:30pm at Village Hall, 40 Seneca Drive, Brightwaters, New York 11718, with respect to the following:

  1. To hold a public informational session on the Drainage and Paving Project on Concourse West.

PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that at this informational session all interested parties will be given an opportunity to be heard.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, pursuant to the requirements of the Open Meetings Law of the State of New York, that the Board of Trustees of the Village of Brightwaters will, immediately following the informational session, convene at the place and time aforesaid for the purpose of conducting other general business it may deem necessary.   

Those persons planning to attend the meeting and who require special accommodations because of a disability are requested to notify the Village Clerk no less than 48 hours prior to the meeting.

 BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS PUBLIC NOTICE

 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Zoning Appeals of the Inc. Village of  Brightwaters will hold a public hearing on  Wednesday February 28, 2018  7:30pm at Village Hall, 40 Seneca Drive, Brightwaters, NY to consider the following applications for variance relief:

Vida Keshtgar, 152 Concourse East, Brightwaters, NY 11718 seeks permission to make alterations and additions to existing detached garage in violation of Village Code Section 128-32C which requires accessory buildings to be at least 10 feet from the side and rear property lines.  Application call for 5.8 feet from the rear property line (5.8 feet existing). And 5.7 feet from side property line (5.7feet existing).  

Kathleen Weiss, 326 Woodland Dr. Brightwaters, NY 11718 seeks permission to construct a first floor addition and two car attached garage in violation of Village Code Section 128-29A which limits the total building area (FAR) to 20% of the lot area.  Application calls for 24.1% (14.59% existing).  Violation of Village Code Section 129-31 which requires a minimum rear yard setback of 42.5 feet for a lot of 125 in depth.  Application calls for 38.75 feet (53.8 feet existing).  Violation of Village Code Section 128-10 which requires a minimum roof pitch of five on twelve (5/12).  Application calls for two on twelve (2/12). 

            Eric & Natalie Fesefeldt & Carlos & Josephine Martins, 508 Pine Drive, Brightwaters, NY 11718 seek permission to convert existing attached garage to living space and provision of space for future garage as required by code in violation of Village Code 128-29A which limits the total building area (FAR) to 20% of the lot area.  Application calls for 46.88% (44.58% existing). Violation of Village Code Section 128-31D which limits the total rear yard building area (GAR) to 30% of the rear yard.  Application calls for 64.4% (64.4% existing).

 

All applicants or their duly authorized representative are required to be at this hearing at the time specified above.  All interested parties are welcome and will be given an opportunity to be heard.

   NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Village Clerk of the Inc. Village of Brightwaters has prepared the tentative assessment roll for the fiscal year beginning June 1, 2018 and ending May 31, 2019 and that same has been filed with the Village Clerk where it may be seen and examined by any person during business hours beginning February 1st, 2018 between 9:00AM and 4:00PM until the third Tuesday of February 2018 at the Village Office, 40 Seneca Dr., Brightwaters, NY and on that day the board of review will meet to hear complaints in relation to assessments between the hours of 12:00 NOON and 4:00PM at the Village Office, 40 Seneca Dr., Brightwaters, NY.
