 BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS PUBLIC NOTICE

 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Zoning Appeals of the Inc. Village of  Brightwaters will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 7:30pm at Village Hall, 40 Seneca Drive, Brightwaters, NY to consider the following applications for variance relief:

Todd Blond, 505 Potter Blvd., Brightwaters, NY 11718 seeks permission to construct a 1st floor addition and rear dormer in violation of Village Code Section 128-10 which requires a minimum roof pitch of five on twelve (5/12).  Application calls for roof pitch of two on twelve (2/12) on the dormer and three and one half on twelve (3 1/2 /12) on rear addition.  Violation of Village Code Section 128-22 which requires a building to be set back from a front property line a distance of 2 feet greater than the average setback of existing buildings within the block in question and on the same side of the street.  The set back required is 34.93 ft.  Application calls for front yard set back of 28.8 feet (34.8 ft. existing). 

David DePetris, 548 Pine Drive, Brightwaters, NY  11718 seeks permission to construct a covered front porch, rear yard deck and make alterations in violation of Village Code Section 128-10 which requires a minimum roof pitch of five on twelve (5/12).  Application calls for a roof pitch of four on twelve (4/12).

All applicants or their duly authorized representative are required to be at this hearing at the time specified above.  All interested parties are welcome and will be given an opportunity to be heard.

COLLECTION OF TAXES

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE  THAT pursuant to Section 1428 of the Real Property Tax Law, the warrant and tax roll for the collection of village taxes for the Inc. Village of Brightwaters has been filed with the Village Clerk Treasurer for the fiscal year June 1, 2018 to May 31, 2019.  Taxes will be received at the Brightwaters Village Office, 40 Seneca Dr., P.O. Box 601, Brightwaters, NY 11718-0601 from the first day of June to and includeing the first day of July without penalty from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm except Saturday, Sunday and holidays.

Beginning July 2, 2018, interest of five percent (5%) will be added for the month of July and an additional amount of one percent (1%) for each month and fraction thereof until paid.
